Hi,
the fall of Lucifer raises a ton of questions in my head but I'll only
ask two of them here. How can we be sure of our salvation here on
earth when Lucifer, in Heaven and in all God's glory, threw it away,
and took 1/3 of the Angels with him? The second thing is, if the
Angels themselves fell, does that mean we can get kicked out of
heaven as well? These are just a couple things that have me puzzled
and would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for reading my email.

Hi, Thanks for the email. Some brief answers to your questions -
How can we be sure of our salvation here on earth when Lucifer, in Heaven
and in all God's glory, threw it away, and took 1/3 of the Angels with
him? When a believer is
truly born again, their salvation is secure because Jesus makes it so!
Lucifer wasn't 'saved' nor was there any promise that God would keep
Him. He chose his way. While it is somewhat of a mystery, pride was
found in his heart and he wanted to be above God. A born again
believer however has been born of 'incorruptible seed' - "...having
been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through
the word of God which lives and abides forever." We have been given
the divine nature and that nature cannot sin or be corrupted as
Lucifer was. If you can't get your head around that then
believe the promise of Jesus for His true sheep... for Jesus has
promised to keep all that the Father give Him: "All that the Father
gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive
away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the
will of him who sent me.
And this is the will of him
who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the
last day."
if the Angels themselves fell, does that mean we can get kicked out of
heaven as well
No, the amazing thing about our salvation is that we have been
given a new nature. Now at the moment we still live in this old fallen
body so there is a battle going on between the flesh and the spirit.
But when Jesus returns we will receive our new bodies. And God's very
nature will be manifest through us. To put it another way, we won't
have a nature that can sin or 'fall' like Lucifer did. The position
God has given us is far far far above anything that Satan had for God
has given us Himself! Speaking of this new nature scripture says
1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed
abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
This 'seed' is the same 'incorruptible seed' that Peter speaks about
and was quoted above. It is straight from God and cannot be corrupted!
If you make it to Heaven you need not ever fear sinning or falling
from heaven because you will have an incorruptible nature! A new
nature... where God's character is manifest through you! This is what
John and Paul spoke about here: 1 John 3:2 Dear friends, now
we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made
known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we
shall see him as he is. Col 3:4 When Christ, who is your life,
appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
So I hope
this helps. For the Christian the best is yet to come!
All the best.
